Reviews from kids:
Holding onto courage was an amazing book, I love that the timelines switch frequently because of the short chapters! I loved finding out how Kim is connected to Mai, Lang and Tran’s chapters. I love that the farther you get into the book, there are secrets you learn that connect the two stories together! Overall I think the story this book tells is absolutely AMAZING!

Mrs. Flanagan’s book is an amazing journey through the Vietnam War and modern life. I never really paid attention to the Vietnam War until now, I never knew it was such an event. I love how Kim’s aunt’s past convinced Kim not to quit. It’s amazing what the past can do. Mrs. Flanagan has done such an outstanding job putting together this wonderful and exciting book full of adventures, mysteries and more. I would recommend this book to history, soccer, and book lovers.
